In Khanzad Chess Club's Hall, the 23rd Khanzad Rapid Chess Championship took place in Swiss system, with a timing of 15 minutes + 10 seconds, the Championship was divided into two groups A & B, Group A included 14 players, and Group B included 68 players.

At the start of the of the Championship the attendees stood for one minute to mourn the spirit of Dr. Firsat Sofy, the governor of Erbil, who died a few weeks ago of COVID-19.
