Opening Ceremony of the Second International Festival of Kurdistan

 the opening ceremony of the Kurdistan Second International Chess Festival under the auspices of Mr. (Nechirvan  Barzani ), President of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the presence of Mr. ( Dilshad Barzani ) A representative of the President of the Kurdistan Region' ( Nawzad Hadi ) the governor of Erbil, ( Salah Hassan ) official Olympic Committee and the Kurdish (Burhan Argushi ) Director of the Ministry of Education .

The champion held in the ( Saad's Palace for Conferences & Meetings ) in Arbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region and with the participation of 70 players (male and female) from 22 countries . The Festival regulated and supervised by of the Central Union of Chess of Kurdistan, Khanzad Chess Club and Capablanka Institute.

The 9-round Swiss open is taking place from 12th to 19th December
