Under the auspices of the Directorate General of Sports in the Kurdistan Region, Khanzad Chess club held a (Chess Festival in the month of Ramadan) with collaboration of Cabablanka Institute for Chess, the participating countries in the tournament was (Hungary, Syria, Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan)

 48 player participated in the tournament under the supervision of the Iranian international referee Mr. (Hamid Reza Shahpur) and with the assistant of Mr.Shwan Osman, Diar Hama Salih and  Jhangeri Sapida with a special analysis of the games by the international analyst Mr. Sati Al-Husari.

 The festival has been in a exhibition game for young players and with the training cycle and the strengthening of the players and referees training by international referee Mr.Hamid Reza Shahpur.
