Today at 10:00 AM in Khanzad's Hall, The first round of the 10th Khanzad Classic Chess tournament was held registered in International Chess Federation FIDE and the Iraqi Chess Federation.
The opening ceremony was attended by Tahir Abdullah-Deputy Governor of Erbil City, Nabz Abdul Hamid-Mayor of Erbil Center, Burhan Argushi- Director General of the Ministry of Education, Pshtiwan Ahmad- Honorary President of the Khanzad Club, Dalzar Hama Saleh- President of the Khanzad Club and a large number of guests and chess fans.
At the beginning, the President of the club gave a welcome message to the guests and highlighted the most important achievements of the club in tournaments; especially the club won the first place (repeated) in the championship of Iraq's Premier League
This tournament is based on the Swiss system 9 rounds for 75 minutes plus 30 seconds per a move. The tournament is presided over by the international Iranian arbiter Mr. Kawa Khalil.
